As part of the Greater Whitemarsh community, throughout the year, the Art Center offers and participates in numerous events, enriching lives through creative expression. Whether you're an aspiring artist, a dedicated art enthusiast, or a parent nurturing a blossoming talent, our calendar offers a lot of opportunities to connect. From our inspiring Student & Teacher art expo's and galleries, to hands-on workshops, insightful lectures and exciting art competitions like our annual Gregory J. Nowak Memorial Plein Air Competition, there's always something new to discover and experience right here at the Art Center.

Our commitment to the arts extends far beyond our studio doors, as we love being an active part of the wider community! You'll often find us proudly participating in beloved local celebrations such as Whitemarsh Township Day and their spirited Fourth of July parade and picnic. We also regularly have a tent at Chestnut Hill's charming Home and Garden Festival and their vibrant Fall for the Arts Festival. These events are wonderful opportunities for us to connect with our neighbors, share the joy of art, and highlight the incredible talent that thrives within our community.

Details: Attention all Artists and Artists in the Making! Enter Whitemarsh Art Center's 11th Plein Air Judged event with nearly $700 in prizes. After check-in is complete, artists are welcome to create their works at locations in Whitemarsh, Plymouth Meeting or Conshohocken. Children under 16 years of age enter free.

Meet other art and garden enthusiasts while you’re at it. Annuals, perennials, vegetables, house plants, native plants and shrubs, sun and shade lovers are all welcome!
