My work consists of play and exploration of line, color, empty space, shape, mark making and texture while hoping to invoke a sense of discovery and rediscovery in the viewer. The use of organic abstract shapes, patterns or rhythms and hints of what they might represent, along with the use of images which invoke a sort of stillness and quiet reflection all play an important role in my work. My art serves as a reflection of my connection to nature and I hope to convey the sense of wonder and interconnectedness that I hold so dearly and that binds us all so profoundly to the natural world.
